Llangwm Carnival

FLOATS and flags and all things made of hay were on display on Saturday as carnival magic came to Llangwm. The village was awash with colour and scarecrows for the VE day-themed summer event. Crowds enjoyed a swooping display by the Red Arrows, as they wandered around a variety of stalls and enjoyed demonstrations by the emergency services. The prize winning scarecrows for this year's competition were: Mr Hardwick, The Gail; The Howard family, Williamston Terrace; Llangwm VC School; Jeff James, Edwards Pill; Mr Meopham, Jolly Boat Cottage; Mr Billian, Old Butchers; Mrs Helen Carrington, Gail Rise.   more...
