Winter wonder

From the archive, first published Monday 5th Dec 2005.

Four great bands and a soloist at Narberth's Queens Hall on Saturday evening all add up to the Winter Wonder Dance, organised as part of the town's festive carnival day.

Heading the line-up are indie-rock boys Supergene, looking forward to recording a Radio One session as their prize for success in a recent BBC Talent Showcase.

Nikolai, who describe themselves as `scruffy guitar pop music' are always favourites with Narberth audiences, while new young band The Cigars play everything from rock to metal to funk. Milford Haven's Iliss (formerly Clarity) will be showcasing a new line-up and material, while singer-songwriter Caroline Harrison is set to deliver a breathtaking acoustic performance.

The night gets under way at 8pm and tickets - £7 on the door or £5 in advance - are available in Narberth from Williams Vision and the Angel Inn or from Kristian on 07717 131152.
